can you please explain to me what is malignant neoplasm
It's cancer. Devil Master 09:25, 08 Aug 2005 (MET)
As the use of the word malignant is not restricted to cancer, perhaps this page should cover other conditions such as malignant hypertension?
[edit] Conversion to disambiguation page
OK, I know this was sort of a bold move, so here is my rationale. First, the previous page wasn't sure if it wanted to be a list of dictionary definitions, a description of the concept malignant transformation, or a very poor man's version of the page cancer. Outside of the few non-oncologic diseases which are referred to as "malignant" (which are well-served by the disambig page) there is really no daylight between the term "malignant" and the concept of "cancer", so there is no need for two separate real pages. The word "malignant" is pretty heavily linked in wikipages because it is the sort of technical word that editors like to be able to define through a wikilink. This page now contains a brief definition to serve that purpose, but otherwise sends interested readers to the page cancer, which covers the topic in an extensive and comprehensive manner. I think this is an improvement, but as always, I welcome feedback. -RustavoTalk/Contribs 05:23, 5 June 2007 (UTC)
