[edit] Merger with Mahbubnagar

IMHO, I feel that this merger isn't necessary since many districts in India and their headquarters are represented with separate articles on Wikipedia. Comments however are welcome. The Silent Contributor 10:24, 17 October 2006 (UTC)

I am against this merger because it confuses the district with the headquarters in many situations. Sometimes it is no longer possible to have an article on the headquarters town at all, which may be a very interesting place in its own right, because the district and the headquarters are the same name. It takes away the headquarters' individual identity. Also, it can become very confusing and frustrating when a person clicks on a link expecting to go to a city or town and ends up unexpectedly at a district. IMHO, it would be best to clearly label districts as districts. Mattisse(talk) 14:53, 17 October 2006 (UTC)

I don't think it should be merged, it just requires some clean up. Certain information overlaps in both the district page and the headquarters page. When there is a seperate page for the distict, the information and facts about the district should not be on the district headquarters page. Timir Patel

[edit] Copyvio

The history section appeared pretty much fully formed from a text standpoint. And it is a word for word copy of text that seems to be floating about the web, and in particular, this web site. Considering this, and teh entire history is unsourced, I'm removing it. -- Whpq 20:24, 14 February 2007 (UTC)
