Mérignac is a commune in the département of Gironde and the Aquitaine région of France. It is the largest suburb of the city of Bordeaux, and is adjacent to it on the west. It is a member of the metropolitan Urban Community of Bordeaux. In the 1999 census, Mérignac had a population of 61,992.
Mérignac is the site of the Bordeaux International Airport.
