Márcio Gesteira da Silva known as Márcio Carioca (born 2 May 1983) is a Brazilian football player. He was born in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil and went to his first professional club at 18 years old.

Marcio plays as a forward. He enjoyed quick success at Brazilian side Ceara, before moving to Portuguese side F.C. Paços de Ferreira on a two year deal. His strength on the ball, accurate finishing and pace made him a well know name in the Northern States of Brazil. His previous clubs also include Esporte Clube Vitória of Bahia, Boca Júnior Sergipe and Itabaiana of Sergipe[1] and Ceará Sporting Club of Ceará.[2]

In June 2008, he signed with Australian A-League club Queensland Roar.
