[edit] Background
Loose Cannon was originally going to be called The County Hound with The County Hound EP being almost like a sample such as how The Slim Shady EP was to The Slim Shady LP, but while in the studio Eminem noted Cashis as being a Loose Cannon which gave way to title change.
Because its somethin’ Em came up with when he said, “Man you crazy. You like a loose cannon. That’s what you should call your album.” I said cool, let’s roll with it, so the “County Hound” became the name of just the EP. The [EP] is different from the songs on the LP. None of the songs will appear on both. It’s gonna be like a full-length album first, so we wanted to change it from the start.

[edit] Concept
Cashis chose to make the album a Double LP to showcase both sides of him, one being Ramone and the other being his alter ego Cashis. The Cashis disc will have all the songs hand picked by him and his label, while the Ramone disc will have all the songs he picked out.[2] Cashis has stated in an interview at Aftermath.com that the first single will be released on July 25, 2008 and that the album has been pushed back to September 23, 2008.[3]
[edit] Production and guests
Cashis recently stated in an interview that the album will feature production from Sha Money, Eminem, Rikanatti, Jelly Roll, Jake One, DJ Toomp, Drumma Boy, Emile, Alchemist, Havoc, Tha Bizness, DJ Khalil and has stated that he is going to work on a track with Dr. Dre. Features for the Double Album will include Eminem, G-Unit including 50 Cent, Young Buck, Spider Loc, Freeway, Crooked I, T.I., Keyshia Cole, Speedknot Mobstaz, Twista, Slim Thug and many more.[4]
