Lonedell is an unincorporated community in eastern Franklin County, Missouri, United States. It is about eight miles east of St. Clair on Route 30, or about an hour southwest of Saint Louis. This was the site of a September 2006 kidnapping of a baby by a woman, who was a stranger; the baby was subsequently successfully recovered and returned and the kidnapper captured. In January 2006, a local woman gave birth to a baby girl at the fire station after a quick race through town with her husband; from their home three miles away. Consequently, the story of the "fire house baby" is well known around town.
