LIVE Entertainment was a Los Angeles-based home video distribution company, previously known as International Video Entertainment until 1990. That same year, the studio acquired Family Home Entertainment and began distributing movies from the Carolco Pictures library on video.

In 1991, they acquired Vestron after its downfall. In 1997, Live became a feature film production company, Wishmaster was the first feature film they produced. In 1998, Live changed its name to Artisan Entertainment. In 2003, Lions Gate Entertainment acquired Artisan. All of Live's holdings are owned by Lions Gate today.
