[edit] Category:Literature by language
Is it necessary to have a parallel category by language? — Instantnood 16:51, July 30, 2005 (UTC)
- I was just thinking that actually it makes much more sense to have Category:Literature by language (which we do have) be the primary tree for literature. Within literature by language, country categories can be used if sensible. (For instance, Category:Canadian literature could exist under Category:French language literature and under Category:English language literature.) ... I realize this probably will upset the nationalists but literature seems to be best organized by language, as exogenous creatures seem best organized by bioregion. --Lquilter (talk) 13:21, 21 November 2007 (UTC)
- At any rate, "by nationality" isn't as common as "by country", is it? And literature doesn't have a "nationality", even if we assign it to a country. --Lquilter (talk) 13:22, 21 November 2007 (UTC)
