Define "popularity". None of the links are relevant or genuine. According to sify.com, top movies of 2005 includes Arindhum Ariyamalum, but excludes Dhavamai Dhavamirundhu. Similarly, we get a different rank in tamilcinema.com Anwar saadat 21:22, 18 April 2006 (UTC)

A major clean up is required for this article. Please list the Movies on each category/year and please be honest, no POV. If movie article exist link to it, or we can create them one by one. --M.arunprasad 06:08, 19 April 2006 (UTC)

Popularity is very subjective and cannot be defined. The best mode of classification would be to list descending by box office returns. All the sections except the Critical Acclaim should be re-worked. It should be modelled based on List of highest-grossing films. - Bnitin 03:39, 20 April 2006 (UTC)

I have taken out the section about Critically acclaimed movies as there were lots of reverts. I tink all the films eg. TT and Chandramukhi were equal in many ways Prin S 16:01, 29 May 2006 (UTC)

Can someone explain how these movies are selected, please? Not all box office successes are critically acclaimed. So, I understand that it's very difficult to classify movies under this category. Has a consensus been reached on the criteria for selection? --Madhu 13:19, 27 January 2007 (UTC)
