This is a list of Pittsburgh Penguins head coaches. There have been 19 head coaches of the Penguins franchise since its founding in 1967. Ken Schinkel, Craig Patrick and Eddie Johnston have each served two tenures as head coach. Two different coaches have lead the team to Stanley Cup victories: Bob Johnson, in 1991, and Scotty Bowman, in 1992. Eddie Johnston is the all time leader in games coached and wins, and Bowman leads all coaches in winning percentage. The Penguins' current coach is Michel Therrien, who was promoted from coach of the Penguins AHL affiliate part way through the 2005 season.
