This is a list of Governors of Nevada. The only governor of the Nevada Territory was James W. Nye, a Republican who served from 1861 until statehood in 1864.

As of August 2007, five former governors were alive, the oldest being Paul Laxalt (19671–1971, born 1922). The most recent governor to die was Mike O'Callaghan (1971–1979), on March 5, 2004.
