[edit] Concept car
The official press information provided for this car states that the MKT is a concept vehicle: "The Lincoln MKT concept shows a new potential vehicle for Lincoln", with no statement of production plans. It might well be in Ford's future production plan, but without a reliable source (Ford) we cannot speculate here. Please remember that verifiability is the criteria for inclusion, not what some might believe to be "true", or even what someone claiming to be an "insider" might say. Please do not claim that this vehicle is planned for production in 2010 or whatever without a reliable source. If you want a recent example of why "we" do not announce speculative production plans in the Wikipedia: the Lincoln MKR from the 2007 NAIAS appears to be a non-starter. And there have been many other Lincoln concepts cars in the last 10-15 years that did not get past the reveals in the auto show circuit. However, in the spirit of compromise, I have added the recent Car & Driver speculation, which was based on the spotting of a test "mule". While this does not provide any sort of authority regarding future production plans, it at least leads credence to the idea that there is speculation that something might be coming. Until Ford announces production plans, that's about all we can do. The Wikipedia is NOT a crystal ball. Thanks! --T-dot ( Talk/contribs ) 23:22, 15 January 2008 (UTC)
