Line of succession to the Hanoverian throne

The Kingdom of Hanover was abolished in 1866 and the Duchy of Brunswick in 1918. The current head of the former royal family is Ernst August V, Prince of Hanover, titular King of Hanover and Duke of Brunswick. The Succession Law is Salic, only allowing males to succeed.
