I cut the following from Lilo & Stitch; if someone starts this article, it might be useful.

==speaking of Pokemon...==

The television show Lilo & Stitch bears a striking resemblance to Pokémon.

Similarities:

  • takes place in Hawaii (some Pokemon fanatics actually believe that Pokemon exists & lives in Hawaii)
  • both Ash and Lilo "gotta catch'em all"
  • the "dehydrated experiments" look like pokeballs
  • both shows have incompetent criminals wanna be villin teams with one of the only talking monsters/experiments(Meowth/625) and a boss with no reason not to fire them and hire someone else
  • Ash/Lilo can understand what Pikachu/Stitch is saying while the audience can't
  • Stitch and Pikachu both could catch the monsters without "trainers" but drag them along because "they're friends"
  • Ash/Lilo have to "turn them(the Pokemon/experiments) from bad to good"

[edit] Phoon & Artical Lenght

Actually I thimk Phoon has aired so why is there no dat listed?

Also I think either the character bios or the episode list has got to be moved to another page...the artical has become so long that the contents list is no longer useful. --Wack'd About Wiki 07:54, 27 July 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Victoria

Victoria is actually pretty much a one-timer but she does have an impact on Lilo so it's good to have her there anyway. I think we should point out she's a one-timer, though.

What's a "one-timer"?70.146.241.91 01:12, 8 September 2007 (UTC)

A "One-Timer" is a character in a certain series ether book, movie or audio drama "radio" that makes an appearance (usually in an episode) only once in the entire series Mcbowser 04:44, 9 Spetember 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Pelekai

I'm removing some of the references to "Pelekai". Even if executive producer Jess Winfield claims it is the last name for Lilo and her sister, the name is never uttered or credited in any parts of the series/movies (perhaps it was shown in passing once or twice), nor is it a name that most people know Lilo by. I'll find a place to mention it elsewhere in the article. --Jtalledo (talk) 03:27, 5 September 2005 (UTC)

The name "Lilo Pelekai" is written on Lilo's receipt for Stitch. And many people in the Lilo & Stitch community know her as this as well. --MarkKB 10:01, 7 November 2005 (UTC)

Which is why I said it was mentioned "in passing". And the Lilo & Stitch community is a lot smaller than the number of people who have seen the movie. --Jtalledo (talk) 19:39, 7 November 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Angel?

Hmm... Angel, a featured character? Correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't she only appear in one episode? --MarkKB 03:07, 21 January 2006 (UTC)

Actually, you are wrong. She appears in a total of three episodes (Angel, Remmy, Snafu), and is in the upcoming Leroy & Stitch movie.—Preceding unsigned comment added by 216.170.153.151 (talkcontribs) 06:11, 26 April 2006
Touché! I know about the Snafu episode, however when the comment was made (back in January), it had not aired in either the US or here in NZ. And Angel only really has a cameo in Remmy. As for Leroy & Stitch, it's a movie. DTV/MFTV it may be, but that doesn't make it any more of an episode. But still, are two main and one cameo appearences enough to make it a 'featured'/main character? --MarkKB 08:41, 27 June 2006 (UTC)

Since this section is talking about her anyways, I figure I'll bring some information I found out yesterday.

From here, Jess Winfield talked to a L&S fan in an e-mail, which she posted in her deviantART journal (where the link leads). Of importance to Angel here:

Jess's feelings on Angel: "Judging by the controversy about Angel, she's a very successful character!"

The infamous 'sleepy' scene: "I can't speak for the Walt Disney Company, but in my work on Lilo & Stitch I tried to make the characters and story appeal to all ages. When Stitch says, "sleepy," it's clear that he's trying to make an excuse to go see Angel... what he plans to do when he sees her is entirely open to the interpretation of the viewer. If you think it's hugs and kisses, then it's hugs and kisses. If others think it's a more sexual reference, that's their prerogative. There's no "right" answer. At least, I had no particular outcome in mind when I wrote the line (which I did)." —Preceding unsigned comment added by 216.170.153.151 (talkcontribs) 06:11, 26 April 2006

[edit] 2 voices for Stitch?

Are there really 2 voices for Stitch? 71.111.232.40 14:33, 4 June 2006 (UTC)

Yes. Yes there are. The second voice was provided by Michael Yingling who was cast as the official sound-a-like for Chris. He fills in for Chris when he is not available. He was used on 4 of the episodes for season 1 (including the infamous Angel episode) and provided the initial recording tracks for season 2 that were used by the animators. Fliptop1

  • Do you have any proof of any of that? --TV Shows Fan 23:21, 26 July 2006 (UTC)
  • Yes I do. First of all, if you look at some of the episodes in season 1 (and I can provide you with the titles if you really need them) you can see Michael Yingling's name listed in the credits, proving that he at least provided voice talent. The second proof I can offer is that I am Michael Yingling and I think I know what I did. It is a long story, but I did do the voice for some of the episode (and I have the paychecks to prove it) I really didn't want to identify myself earlier as I was trying to keep my user name and my real name separate. Any other questions? Still need more proof? Let me know. Fliptop1
  • OKay, than what season 1 episodes did you record for? --TV Shows Fan 01:51, 28 July 2006 (UTC)

  • Well since you seem determined to question me. I recorded dialogue for "Angel", "Spike", "Bonnie & Clyde" and "Finder" for season 1. Just curious....any particular reason you are so doubtful on this? Fliptop1
Primary sources aren't good for Wikipedia articles. Stuff here has to be referenced using published sources. I did a Google search for the name "Michael Yingling" and the only sources I found in connection with the show are mirrors of this Wikipedia article. Please provide information from a reliable source if possible. --Jtalledo (talk) 19:55, 28 July 2006 (UTC)
I understand that. But just cause you cant find anything on me (Michael Yingling) doesn't mean it isnt true. Also, if you have the primary source giving you the information, then why will you not use the primary source information? That seems odd to me. I have plenty of proof in hardcopy form but it just doesn't happen to exist on the internet. I am not just making this up for kicks and giggles. I got started doing the voice for Disney for an attraction that we put in at Disneyland for which I won a THEA award http://www.themeit.com/2003_stitch.htm (listed as Flip Yingling) Fliptop1
  • I have the episode Spike on DVR I did saw Michael Yingling at the end credits and I also saw that it said Chris Sanders as Stitch. --TV Shows Fan 10:23, 29 July 2006 (UTC)

  • Yes, they list Chris as the voice of Stitch due to the fact that he orriginated it and did provide the voice. However, during ADR I was called in to replace dialogue for Stitch. Therefore I also provided the voice for Stitch. Due to his contract Chris gets listed as the official voice which he is. I happen to be the official sound-a-like with Disney Character Voices. If you look at the other episodes in season 1, all of the voice talent is just listed as "with the voice talents of". I understand wanting to be thorough and not post untrue facts, but why is all of this so difficult for you to believe? Fliptop1
It is difficult to believe because there are no reliable sources that confirm this assertion. It may be true, but there's no published source given to back it up. --Jtalledo (talk) 05:07, 30 July 2006 (UTC)
Also, see Wikipedia:Verifiability for more information. --Jtalledo (talk) 05:57, 30 July 2006 (UTC)
I can understand all of that. As for the reason there is little to no additional printed reference out there, Disney likes to keep consistent and does not like to publish when they use sound-a-likes as opossed to the original voices. I will keep digging to find you all more proof that you will believe (in fact there was a German site that had me listed but it seems to be gone now). In the meantime I do appreciate your thorougness. And hey, if you happen to have Jess's email you can always ask him as he was there for some of the recording sessions and knows me.

Fliptop1

Yes, it's really nothing personal. It's just that verifiability is really important on Wikipedia. Thanks for understanding. --Jtalledo (talk) 00:53, 1 August 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Series Ended?

This series has ended, has it not? I believe Leroy and Stitch was the movie that wrapped up the series. So should we edit this into the article? The series has reached its plot. Robot Chicken 22:41, 26 June 2006 (UTC)

No, it hasn't. I heard the announcers on tv saying "new episodes of etc.". One of the shows was Lilo and Stich. This was after the movie premere.

Acually, that was a commercial for link, the last episode to air, and one monthe after leroy and Stitch. So yes, the series ended.

Near the bottom of the Lilo & Stitch movie page, someone wrote that the Series has been given a 100 episode renewal. I really wish it had a citation, because I can't find any info anywhere saying that it's true. 69.162.221.9 08:52, 10 December 2006 (UTC)

the series did end, but there is one unaired episode, Lax, i heard that the kids from the cartoon 'Reccess' was going to appear in that episode, is it true?

Yes it is. TJ, his friends and Ms. Finster appears in it.

[edit] Lilo and Stitch the Series: On DVD or Itunes?

I recently heard that the series going to become available on DVD, which makes some sense as TV episodes have appeared in other Lilo and Stitch series releases like "Leroy and Stitch" and "Lilo and Stitch's Island of Adventures DVD Game". I also heard that it may be appearing for download at the iTunes Music Store Has anyone heard any official press release of some kind backing this up?--Captain N

That would be nice! i hope so.

[edit] Characters page

I think a section should be added to include a description of the plot of the series (eg: Experiment capsules are rehydrated, Lilo & Stitch catch experiments and find the one place where they belong, Gantu and Ruben try to capture them...), and that the list of characters should be moved to a "Minor Characters of Lilo & Stitch" page, where they can be elaborated on and have pictures added. This would be separate from the "list of experiments" page. I'd do it myself, but I haven't seen all of the episodes yet and am too new to editing wikipedia articles to feel right doing it... 69.162.221.9

[edit] Weird Al

It doesn't give the ep but it states on al's website that he did provide a character voice for the series. I don't know how to do citations so if anyone else wants to do it that would be groovy. http://www.weirdal.com/filmtv.htm WookMuff 03:31, 16 December 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Tickle Tummy?

WHY, I ask, did someone suggest that Tickle Tummy, who appears once in a very minor role, be put in the "reoccurring characters" section?

Tickle Tummy belongs in the unknown number section of the experiments page.

[edit] Buh?

What's going on with the Expanded Universe section? I can't make any sense of it. Half of it seems like it's listing aspects of expanded universes, and the rest is just nonsense. Someone who knows the show better has got to fix this.--128.138.24.251 22:58, 7 April 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Anon

The following sentence is very confusing. Would re-write it my self, but not sure what it means.

'The Sunburned Ice Cream Tourist never has a spoken part in the series except "Whoa!" when he tripped on the pod and when he said "Whaaaaa" after suffering from 151( babyfier)'s effects and We see His real eyes in Swirly.'
