The Liberal Party of Andorra (Partit Liberal d'Andorra) is a free market classical liberal party and the largest party in Andorra. As a result of the March 4th 2001 elections, the party won 46.1 % of popular votes and 16 out of 28 seats, giving it the majority of seats in the General Council of Andorra. However, at the last elections, which were held on April 24, 2005 the party lost 2 seats and 6 percentage points, getting 41% of the vote and 14 of the 28 seats in the general council. However, it was still able to form a government. It is led by Marc Forné Molné, who founded the party in 1992. Forné became Head of Government in 1994. In 2005, Albert Pintat also a liberal, became head of government. The PLA is member of the Liberal International and the European Liberal Democrat and Reform Party.
