Talk:Liard River Hot Springs Provincial Park
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
[edit] Name (move article)
Why has this article been moved to "Liard River Hot Springs Provincial Park"? Is there such a thing? While it is located in the "Liard River Corridor Provincial Park and Protected Area", it is not a park in itself. In [1], that is just a title for the article. Correct me if I'm worong.Qyd 14:36, 4 March 2006 (UTC)
- See link to provincial park at bottom of article in External links. Therer is a provincial park. There's the park you mention and a park specifically for the hot springs. BC Parks designates them separately. --Dogbreathcanada 19:55, 4 March 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Reformat
I kept all your information (except for a single paragraph) in the reformat. The paragraph I did remove was highly subjective in nature. --Dogbreathcanada 20:48, 4 March 2006 (UTC)
- No problem. My source (Metroguide 2004, using DMTI data), had both parks under the name Liard River Corridor Provincial Park and Protected Area, although spatialy devided by the Liard River. As for the hotspring vs hot spring issue, in Feb 2005 the welcome sign and the info posters credited it as hotsprings, without the space, see Image:LiardHotsprings-info.JPG.
- I think I'll go with the name credited on the BC Parks website. That seems the more official source. --Dogbreathcanada 20:43, 8 March 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Photo Gallery
Beware that someone in the future might come along and remove the Photo Gallery you added. I'm not going to do it, but there are usage guidelines that state that Wikipedia is not a photo archive. I've seen arguments on this subject in the past. So, if someone does come along and chops it out of the article, just be forewarned and don't take it personally. Cheers. Nice photos, though. --Dogbreathcanada 20:46, 8 March 2006 (UTC)
