Leopold the Cat (Russian: Кот Леопольд) is a Soviet animation series about the kindly and pacifist intelligent Cat Leopold, who always weared a bow tie even when he goes swimming and is always confronted by two hooligan mice (Grey and White, or namely Mitya and Motya). Filmed by T/O Ekran in 1975 - 1987. Total runtime - 87 min (10 series)
Directed by Anatoly Reznikov, screenplay by Arkady Hayt. Original Music score by Boris Savelyev. Cinematography by Ernst Gaman (1975, 1982), Igor Shkamarda (1975, 1981, 1983), Vladimir Milovanov (1981, 1983, 1984, 1986). Sound by Nelli Kudrina.
His catchphrase is - "Let's live friendly, boys" (Russian: «Ребята, давайте жить дружно»). Mouses catchprase is "Come out, Leopold!" (Russian: Выходи, Леопольд!) by one and "Come out, dastard!" (Russian: Выходи, подлый трус!) by the second.
