Led Zeppelin's Summer 1969 North American Tour was the third concert tour of North America by the English rock band. The tour commenced on July 5 and concluded on August 31, 1969.
On July 21 Led Zeppelin were the headliners of the Schaefer Music Festival in New York City's Central Park, along with The Byrds, Chuck Berry, Fleetwood Mac, Miles Davis, B.B. King, The Beach Boys, Frank Zappa and Patti LaBelle.
It was during this tour that the infamous shark episode took place, when Led Zeppelin visited Seattle for their appearance at the Seattle Pop Festival on 27 July 1969.
