Talk:Lebanon Valley College
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Edits (10/29/05): LVC was founded by the United Brethren in Christ Church. The UBC did not merge with the United Church of Christ (UCC) (see article for correct succession). The affiliation with the United Methodist Church still exists today, though it does not obtain funds from the church. Added the tidbit about LVC being 4 out of 34 college founded by the UBC to survive. Corrected info about campus buildings. Included the coeducational note in the history. Created the Famous Alumni section. When I get time, I will include a sub-heading under history for pranks and presidents and expand the College Activities section. Source for most of the info in the major edit today: Lebanon Valley College - A century of life on campus, Edna J. Carmean. 1966. Unpublished, but can be obtained from the archives at Lebanon Valley College. Rkitko 02:02, 4 February 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Assessment
I recommend providing some photos of the college itself as well as some online references to provide for easier verification of information. --Bossi (talk ;; contribs) 00:40, 17 April 2007 (UTC)
- A lot of similar information can be found here, but since that's the college's own website, I figured it wasn't a very good reference source as info such as that can often be perceived as an advertisement. Most of what's written can be verified with that source, though. Other than that, I'm not sure where else the information can come from online. --Rkitko (talk) 06:09, 22 April 2007 (UTC)
