[edit] Chart details

I deleted reference to Leader of the Pack making #1 on the (US) "Black singles chart" - in 1964 there was no Billboard R&B chart published, and the term "Black singles chart" was not used until 1982. Although Joel Whitburn's books have retrospectively classed the song as "R&B", and hence inferred that it would have charted on the R&B chart had such a chart existed at that point, this justification seems fairly tenuous to me. I'm pretty sure the comment about the Spice Girls covering it during their movie is wrong. Wasn't it Gary Glitter's "Leader of the Gang"? The Pacifist 14:36, 10 September 2007 (UTC)
