I am removing the statement "Lead shielding is used near areas where depleted uranium shells are being fired.". As DU is only slightly radioactive and is itself used for shielding purposes I do not believe this statement to be correct. If a reference is provided I would be delighted to be proved wrong. I think that the Demron reference should be removed from this article, as alternatives should be covered in radiation protection. Thoughts? --nbach (talk) 08:20, 20 November 2007 (UTC)
