Le Tabou is not an operating organisation.

The club was linked to the Paris existentialism and Jazz movements in the late 1940s. The club has historical merit as it was a meeting point of writers including Jean Paul Satre.

The club is also linked to the Paris Jazz movement with Boris Vian being part of the house band.

The club has been written about in numerous publications, as well as being used for various historic audio recordings and I can provide references and citations for these.
