Le Thou is a commune in the canton of Aigrefeuille-d'Aunis of the Charente-Maritime département in the Poitou-Charentes region in western France. The Atlantic Ocean is situated to the west. In the mid-1960s, Le Thou's population surpassed Thairé and made it the second most populated commune in the canton.
