[edit] In 1999 or 1998?

According to http://search.japantimes.co.jp/cgi-bin/nn20070717i1.html the school principal suicide was in 1998 as a result of an education committee directive, not this law. Alastair Rae 14:18, 8 August 2007 (UTC)

Thanks; but, no revision of this article has said the incident was 'a result of this law.'
"In 1998" must be a simple mistake of the news writer. Another Japan Times article reports the incident was "on Feb. 28, the day before his school's graduation ceremony." In the same February before the incident, the then Prime Minister had said the government thought there was no need for the legislation. --Dumpty-Humpty (talk) 04:46, 15 May 2008 (UTC)
