Will lasers ever replace normal scalpels? Because there is an inherent difference in the result of a cut I think. With a scalpel the vessels and such would be unseal, but inevitably with a laser it would be cauterised? Is this ever unwanted? What about in a blood vessel, if you want to re join it after a cut it would be impossible without using a scalpel to cut the ends. Or will alaser strong enough to cut the immediate tissue not nessesarily cauterising the ends? Wolfmankurd 20:00, 28 June 2007 (UTC)
