Larry Brinson

Larry Sylvesta Brinson (born June 6, 1954, Opa-locka, Florida) is a former National Football League running back and current college football assistant coach.

Brinson played college football for the University of Florida, graduating in 1977. He signed as a free agent with the Dallas Cowboys, where he played three seasons as a backup running back and kickoff returner. He played with the Cowboys in Super Bowl XII and Super Bowl XIII. Brinson finished his career with the Seattle Seahawks in the 1980 season.

After retiring as a player, Brinson became the running backs coach for Ken Hatfield at the United States Air Force Academy in 1983. He moved with Hatfield and held the same position at the University of Arkansas (1984-89), Clemson University (1990-93) and Rice University (1994-2005). In 2007, Brinson joined the coaching staff at the University of Kentucky, also as running backs coach.
