Laki is a dialect of Kurdish language.

I tend to agree and hope an expert will have a look. The grouping with Gorani seems to be wrong. --Pjacobi 19:50, 18 October 2005 (UTC)

Laki is a Gorani sub-dialect. 1. Kurdish is the language 2. Pahlawani is the dialect group including: Dimili and Gorani 3. Gorani has various sub-dialects for example: Hawrami/Awrami and Laki

So the grouping with Gorani is not wrong, but that it's not included in the kurdish language..that is very wrong

Laki is not Kurdish, but a language between Luri and Kurdish. You can not say a subdialect of Gorani eithr because Sorani from the north, gorani from the west and persian and luri from the east and soth have influenced Laki to a large extent. But good I hope one sees its place. Its like Provencal in France, not French, nor Italian nor Catalan, uneasy to call it a dialect, but an intermediary language.Babakexorramdin 02:15, 17 February 2007 (UTC)

Laki is according to M.R. Izady, himself a Lak, a dialect of Gorani. The argument that Laki is not Kurdish but a mix of Kurdish, Luri and Persian is quite strange. Laki has influences from Luri and Persian but the same is true the other way around. It is only natural that laguages are influenced by eachother especially in linguistic border regions where political borders have been very loosely defined. However this does not mean that Laki, because it has influences from neighbors, is not kurdish or a "mix". The luri and persian influences are also only of vocabulary nature. If this makes laki a mix language then persian should also be considered a mix of iranian and arabic. However the essential is that the grammar however still remains purely kurdish, Laki is therefore fundamentally different from Luri and similar to kurdish.

Hello Every one I think Laki ia a language just as Farsi and Kurdi. I had found Words that are originaly in Old Persian(Parsie_e Bastan) that have different forms in Farsi ,Kurdi and Luri. for example you can compare the word An( means that) in Farsi with Luri ,Kurdi, Laki and Old Persian counterparts.
