[edit] Merger proposal

I find that many buildings and structures (including gates) which form part of Lahore fort are dealt with in separate articles. Some of these articles are very small (2-3 lines) while others extend to 1-2 paragraphs at most. Would it not be sensible to merge all of these into one extensive article about the fort? Also, there are a number of very good pictures on each of these pages and this would make for an excellent gallery. ImpuMozhi 23:44, 30 April 2006 (UTC)

I oppose merger. --Spasage 09:42, 2 May 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Lahore Fort Sheesh Mahal

The Sheesh Mahals in Agra Fort and Amber Fort are probably more well known by this name. I don't think a redirect of Sheesh Mahal to Lahore Fort would be helpful. --Nemonoman 00:41, 1 May 2006 (UTC)

As per your own words, there are Sheesh Mahals in every respectable palace on the subcontinent. Even in Mysore, where the word is not otherwise used in the Kannada language! And tiny Mandawa has an outstanding one. I should have imagined that the Sheesh Mahal would be the first to be agreed upon for merging. I wish you would reconsider. ImpuMozhi 01:57, 1 May 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Urdu link

Since this article is in English, I don't see the purpose of an external link to a purely Urdu web page. Dieresis 13:08, 7 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit] WikiProject Military history/Assessment/Tag & Assess 2008

Article reassessed and graded as start class. Also removed Indian Military History task force tag as Pakistan is most definitely not India. --dashiellx (talk) 17:24, 13 June 2008 (UTC)
