L'ajo nell'imbarazzo

L'ajo nell'imbarazzo (The Tutor in a Jam) is a melodramma giocoso, or opera, in two acts by Gaetano Donizetti. The Italian libretto was written by Jacopo Ferretti, after the Giovanni Giraud play (1807). It premiered at the Teatro Valle, Rome on February 4, 1824. Soon after, Donizetti revised it as Don Gregorio, which premiered at the Teatro Nuovo, Naples on June 11, 1826.
