Krio Religion

The majority of Krios are Christians, though there is a small Muslim minority among them, that are better known as Oku.

Unlike the other ethnic groups in Sierra Leone, the majority of Krios are overwhelmingly Christians. The reason for this is because of the influence the slavemasters on the slaves and also because of the many missionaries sent to the Krio when Freetown was just established.
