FAU Greek Life
I understand that the image was the incorrect license because I was given permission to use it... so what is the proper license so we can reload it under the proper terms and put it back on the page? I went to hell trying to get that picture so I'd like to see it represented if at all humanly possible.
Secondly, why did you remove the list of Greek organizations? I think it was better before since you could find out which Greek orgs are there and which ones aren't without sifting through the long Club Organizations pdf. Were you concerned that it was advertising? It's a common practice on college pages -- it was done on the wikipedia articles for UF, USF, FIU, etc Go Owls 02:39, 23 July 2007 (UTC)
Template:Florida Atlantic University
Hi. In response to your question over on my talk page, the reason that the {{Florida Atlantic University}} navbox collapses on the Florida Atlantic University page is because there's more than one template there based on {{navbox generic}} (specifically, {{Sun Belt Conference}}. The default behavior of navbox generic is to collapse like that when there is more than one such navbox on a page, since that's usually an indicator that there may be excessive navbox clutter present. I personally believe that this is the right thing to do and it's one of the major reasons why I like the navbox generic template. When I open all the navigation templates on Florida Atlantic University they occupy an entire screen's worth of space on my browser and I've got a larger screen than an average reader. If you really want to override it then I believe using {{Florida Atlantic University|state=uncollapsed}} in the article will do what you want but be aware that others may disagree with it. Thanks
Thanks for updating the infobox. I thought that I had ported over the information on the old table to the "new" infobox but apparently I missed some stuff. Thanks for cleaning up after me! :) --ElKevbo 20:32, 3 August 2007 (UTC)

Florida Atlantic University
Sure thing! That's exactly the trouble with peer reviews, that no one really offers substantive comments (at least in my experience). Once it gets over to FAC, they'll find everything imaginable to oppose! Dylan 13:58, 10 October 2007 (UTC)
Re: FAU
Seems like you've gotten a lot of good suggestions (and put them to use) already. I'll try to take a look tomorrow, but if I don't get around to it then, I won't have time til sometime next week. Even if Peer Review is closed at that time, I'll just leave suggestions on your talk page or at FAC if it's already nominated. Keep up the good work! -Bluedog423Talk 02:40, 11 October 2007 (UTC)

Thanks for the suggestions. I fixed the first two issues and for the third moved a sentence down a little to fix the flow of the paragraph. What do you think?

FAU copy-edits being undone
The part about commuter students, which I worded very carefully to reflect the consensus, was undone by "Go Owls". See the talk page. Deletion Tags on Campus Evangelism Articles
I saw your message concerning the Jed Smock article. I reflected on your critique of notability, but then, when one looks at the list of internet references generated, or googles this guy, and considers the deep history on the article, besides the fact that he's been a fixture on college campuses around the country for decades, it would be a strange canon of "notability" that would delete him. It certainly would not be one that governs Wikipedia generally. Then I look at your own "contributions," and see that you've been putting deletion tags on a LOT of campus evangelists. Now, I have no love for these guys, in fact my resentment of Jed was what led me to start watching his article, but what you're doing here looks like a bit of a crusade to delete college evangelists, and it's just not the NPOV thing to do. We can't disappear a category, and I think those deletion tags need removal. DavidOaks 01:57, 2 November 2007 (UTC)
...So I DID remove the tags, but still want to clarify: I don't want to war with you, just to avoid seeing the hard work of a lot of folks lapse automatically into oblivion after the expiration of five days. The pages can be nominated for the consensus deletion process, or the sources can be upgraded. DavidOaks 02:34, 2 November 2007 (UTC)

Admin Coach
I saw that you recently listed yourself as available to admin coach. I am looking for an instructor. As stated at admin coaching requests, I have been on wiki for a little more than a year. I had about 3,000 edits the last time I checked, and have gotten an article to featured status pretty much on my own. I am more of a wikignome, preferring to stay in the background and work. I'm looking to improve my contributions and maybe one day be an admin. Please let me know if you are available. Thanks. KnightLago 03:01, 15 November 2007 (UTC)
- Hi there :)
- Sure, I'd be happy to coach you! Judging from your contributions alone, you are a very strong editor, and you're also involved in a lot of the wikignome stuff that I like :)
- Do you have any aspects of wikipedia that you wanted to look at specifically?
- Cheers- CattleGirl talk 08:27, 19 November 2007 (UTC)
- Nothing specific jumps out at me right away. I would just like to become more familiar with admin tasks and improve my contributions along the way. Then, if all goes well, maybe RFA in a while. KnightLago (talk) 12:56, 19 November 2007 (UTC)
- That sounds good :)
- I have to head off at the moment, but I'll start a subpage for our coaching probably tomorrow, and then we can get started :)
- Be sure to let me know if you have any questions along the way.
- Cheers- CattleGirl talk 09:50, 21 November 2007 (UTC)
- I'm terribly sorry, but I've been called away unexpectedly and won't be back until Friday of next week.
- Is it ok if we start our admin coaching then?

Your message
Hi, I did not vandalize Flammability; I redirected the page to the proper term Inflammability 172.129.15.175 (talk) 03:26, 23 November 2007 (UTC)
- There appears to be some debate about the proper redirect as your actions have also been reverted by a number of other editors as well. KnightLago (talk) 03:31, 23 November 2007 (UTC)
- Ok, I am new to the project; I was not aware that I redirected in the wrong manner. That does not mean that I vandalized the page.172.129.15.175 (talk) 03:35, 23 November 2007 (UTC)
- No problem, feel free to remove the tag. I placed it because I saw you were continuing to revert without leaving an edit summary after you had been reverted multiple times before. In cases like this it is better to gain consensus before redirecting. Also, consider leaving edit summaries to let other editors know what you are thinking. Welcome to the project, feel free to ask me if you have any questions. KnightLago (talk) 03:39, 23 November 2007 (UTC)

Yesterday you tagged Vellore A. R. Srinivasan for deletion under WP:PROD. Subsequently another user has removed the prod tag, as they are entitled to do. If you still think the article should be deleted please tag it accordind to WP:AFD. I've not done so myself as the article, as it stands now, does cite some references (which I'm unable to check), and it is wise to be aware of the limitations of online sources when dealing with subjects such as this. -- Finlay McWalter | Talk 19:11, 25 November 2007 (UTC)

G4 not applicable to previous speedys
Hi KnightLago. Regarding Holocaust survivor joseph heinrich, I have speedied the article again as a copyright violation. Keep up the tagging work. Just wanted to drop by and explain the reason I replaced your warning to the user. CSD G4 is only applicable to article deleted on the merits at an XfD process such as at articles for deletion, and does not apply to articles that have been previously speedied. Cheers.--Fuhghettaboutit (talk) 02:25, 29 November 2007 (UTC)
- You're welcome. By the way, I noticed you picked up on the copyvio on the talk page of the article. I don't know if you know but we have {{db-copyvio}} for these (in this case, though, if he reposts, I think escalating warning in the {{uw-create}} or {{test1article}} (just change the number in the template to escalate) series would be most suitable, which then prepares the way for reporting at WP:AIV). FAU Champs
I'm not going to argue with you over an article on WIKIPEDIA. I have far more important things to do with my life. Go ahead and title them "Co" champions. ONE team will hold the trophy. ONE team gets the invite to the New Orleans Bowl - the conference prize for winning. In 2005, the New York Yankees and Boston Red Sox finished with identical records and the Yankees were Division Champions; the Red Sox were Wild Card. There is a term dubbed "tie-breaker by head-to-head" record. We beat Troy University; we are the conference champions. Simply because the Commissioner of the Sun Belt Conference wants "more" "champions" to up his 6-year-old conference does not change the fact that Florida Atlantic will hold the trophy.
P.S. Thank you for your interest in FAU on wikipedia. I have spent a long time creating and updating pages on this website and I appreciate your added support. Together, I think we can really build a strong FAU wikipedia network! —Preceding unsigned comment added by 65.8.111.108 (talk) 17:51, 2 December 2007 (UTC)

BYU
I'm a BYU almnus and I love the school. However, a lot of people who edit the entry for BYU don't use a neutral point of view. They try to put a really positive spin on the article. BYU really is defined by its status as a Mormon school with a strict honor code and the fact that almost all of its male students go on Mormon missions. Most editors of the BYU article don't like to admit this because it makes BYU seem anormal. But this info has to be in the lead since it defines BYU. Cheers. Orphaned non-free media (Image:Cataneseanthony md.jpg)
Thanks for uploading Image:Cataneseanthony md.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not.
