[edit] Backstory

Taken from his home world of Glee Anselm at an early age, Fisto, a Nautolan, quickly shines in the Jedi Order as a youngling. He is trained by Yoda in lightsaber combat.

He learns the Force push, a Jedi talent. This is seen when he force pushed the battle droid bodied C3PO in Episode II. He also develops a unique Force power of his own, which he called “force water orb”. Through the force, Fisto is able to manipulate the water particles in the air or ocean for both offensive and defensive purposes.

Later in life, he takes on a young lady from Mon Calamari named Bant Eerin to be his Padawan.[1] Bant Eerin graduates to Knighthood shortly before the events of Episode II.

In the climactic battle scene of Attack of the Clones, he is rescued by Jedi Master Ki-Adi-Mundi and after the battle he fights in his Jedi starfighter above Geonosis. Fisto is one of the four commanders of the Jedi taskforce sent there to rescue Obi-Wan Kenobi. In the clash, Fisto leads the army of Jedi into the oncoming droid army. When Master Yoda arrives with the clone strike force, Fisto leads three squads into the battle outside of the execution arena.

Fisto makes his final appearance in Revenge of the Sith. After learning that Chancellor Palpatine is in fact a Sith Lord, Mace Windu leads a strike team consisting of Agen Kolar, Saesee Tiin, and Fisto to arrest the corrupt Chancellor. After the short talk between the Chancellor and Windu, Palpatine draws his lightsaber, quickly killing Kolar and Tiin. Fisto blocks several blows from Palpatine, but is eventually killed when the Chancellor slashes into his stomach. In the novelization of Revenge of the Sith, before Anakin Skywalker pulls into the landing station, and he witnesses a small part of the battle between Kit Fisto, Windu and Palpatine. He does not see who the combatants are yet, only their lightsabers. When Fisto's green blade disappears, he rushes into the office to see who was killed. There, he finds Kolar's dead body and the bodies of Tinn and Fisto.

[edit] Expanded Universe

In his first appearance in the Clone Wars series, Fisto is given a seat on the Jedi Council, replacing the late Coleman Trebor. Fisto then leads a battalion of clone scuba troops to Mon Calamari to end a civil dispute with the Quarrens, who are in league with Separatist leader Count Dooku. Fisto's troops there enjoy a swift victory.

In the novel The Cestus Deception, Fisto and Kenobi are sent to the planet Ord Cestus in an attempt to persuade the planet's leaders, known as the "Five Families" to discontinue the production of their exclusive and lethal super battle droids for the Separatists. Using the alter ego of Dark Jedi Nemonus, Fisto claims that Count Dooku was greatly upset with the Five Families' decision to raise the price of their battle droids, and that he feared they could no longer be trusted. To enforce this, the two Jedi came up with an ingenious plan that involved Kit Fisto, as dark Jedi Nemonus, kidnapping several members of the five families in an attempt to make them believe that Count Dooku had betrayed them, and then having Obi-Wan Kenobi rescue them in order to lure them into siding with the Republic. However, while the incident did convince the Five Families that Dooku had betrayed them and caused them to briefly side with the Republic, Asajj Ventress, a Sith whom had been recording the entire event, quickly revealed to the Five Families that the entire kidnapping was a fake, and that all the Jedi had said about Dooku and his betrayal were lies.

This led to a confrontation between the two Jedi Knights and Ventress. Although Fisto puts up a valiant fight against the Dark Jedi, he eventually loses, suffering a blow to his right arm. As Ventress prepares to deliver the final strike, Kenobi quickly jumps in, saving Fisto's life. Fisto returns the favor by blocking Ventress' would-be killing blow on Kenobi.

Some time during the Clone Wars, Kit Fisto and Jedi Master Plo Koon encountered the Separatist General Durge en route to quell an uprising at a prison. Eventually, the two Jedi defeat the General in combat, and trap him in the catacombs beneath the prison. Kit Fisto fears the Catacombs would not hold the seemingly invincible General for very long, but Koon assures him that reinforcements would arrive by then. However, as Fisto had predicted, General Durge escapes and returns to Count Dooku, who sends him to aid the Separatist forces on the planet Muunilinst.
