Douglas was born Issur Danielovitch Demsky in Amsterdam, New York to Herschel Danielovitch and Bryna Sanglel

Where does Demsky come from if his father was a Danielovitch and his mother a Sanglel

I've added clarification and appropriate citations regarding the confusion regarding Douglas' last name. When his parents came to the US, his father's brother was using the name Demsky. Doublas was born Issur Danielovitch, but later, his father began using the surname Demsky. He was NOT born Demsky, so please do not change this back. Thanks.
