[edit] Death
As she was flying to Mexico for a vacation a bomb was planted and the bomb went off killing her and her band.
<<< I removed the info about her dying May 23, 2008, whatever idiot posted that needs to get a life.
[edit] Murder Ball
I think one of her songs, or a Moldy Peaches song is featured in the documentary Murder Ball. Can anyone confirm? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 96.56.64.138 (talk) 14:32, 24 April 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Discussion
- If somebody could work on an extensive history section (to go in between the main description and discography), that would really help. Also, albums by herself and ones by The Moldy Peaches (as well as the Peaches' page itself) need to be created or need some work. I might do these myself, but again, some help would be appreciated. -Nathew
- I'm 99% sure Panda is her second child, unless Ange is not actually her own? Based on her lj, that is.
- Ange is her husband. 69.198.146.144 03:55, 29 August 2006 (UTC)
- So, um, how do your pronounce Kimya?
It's Kim-yer. Not that it's at all relevant to this page...
[edit] Race?
The categories at the bottom list her as an African American and a "black rock musician"... I thought Kimya was white? 74.214.106.68 08:36, 6 November 2007 (UTC)
I believe she's mixed race. Wwwhatsup 09:45, 1 December 2007 (UTC)
- Probably about 1/4 black, although her brother's middle name 'Junglefoot' makes me wonder if there's some Native American as well. --MartinUK (talk) 13:37, 6 January 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Fabio
I've resisted the temptation to revert the change from 'friend' to 'cousin' on the basis that iMDB is not a legit source for wikipedia. However I'd like to see a better source if we can come up with one. Wwwhatsup 09:45, 1 December 2007 (UTC)
- An anonymous editor called this 'a joke' today. That was promptly removed by another anon editor. I've gone ahead and removed the sentence: Chris Barron of the '90s band Spin Doctors co-wrote and sang a Moldy Peaches song, and her cousin Fabrizio Moretti[1] Neither are Kimya-specific but refer more to the Moldy Peaches anyway. Wwwhatsup (talk) 10:57, 11 January 2008 (UTC)
I heard she was part Brazilian, so her being related to Fabrizio Moretti is not that farfetched (he's half Brazilian) —Preceding unsigned comment added by 148.4.41.3 (talk) 21:52, 22 May 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Third Eye Blind
I've removed the phrase She appears in the band's music video for the song "Blinded". According to Third Eye Blind no videos was made for the song - perhaps it means just by the label? Wwwhatsup (talk) 10:23, 17 January 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Birthplace
Anyone know where she was born and grew up? The article only mentions NY as a sometimes residence. --82.194.62.227 (talk) 19:02, 25 April 2008 (UTC)
