From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

In the 2006-07 season Kilmarnock Football Club competed in their seventh Scottish Premier League campaign, and also in the Scottish Cup and Scottish League Cup. Kilmarnock's competitive season opened with a 4-1 defeat against league champions Celtic, and drew to a close with a 1-0 win against Hearts on May 20. Kilmarnock finished in 5th place for the second consecutive season, and enjoyed both a win and a draw against Rangers, both their first under manager Jim Jefferies.

In the Scottish Cup they were beaten 3-1 by First Division club Greenock Morton in the 3rd round, although results fared better in the League Cup. They reached their first final since 2001, although they were resoundly beaten 5-1 by Hibernian.
