The station was assigned the call letters KXCL-FM on 1983-04-12. On 1985-02-01, the station changed its call sign to KAND-FM, then on 1994-01-19 to KICI-FM, on 1998-02-20 to KDXX-FM, on 2002-01-11 to KDOS, and on 2005-04-30 to the current KHCK,[3]
