KGRG (89.9 FM) is a radio station owned by the Green River Community College (GRCC) in Auburn, Washington, USA. The station broadcasts over the air at 89.9MHz and over the Internet. The call letters stand for Green River Gators, the community college's athletic mascot.
The station antenna (mapped below) is south of the office/studio, near the King/Pierce County border, on a hill overlooking the White River and the town of Pacific, Washington.
KGRG is at the heart of the highly successful journalism program taught at Green River Community College. It began in 1973 and continues to place students in positions at radio and television stations around the United States, and beyond. KGRG's ability to successfully operate on an unbelievably small budget is nearly unheard of for true broadcast facilities.
KGRG also broadcasts GRCC and local high school playoff athletic events live.
The tracks that KGRG used to play during the 80s & 90s can how be heard on KGRG (AM) "KGRG1 - The Alternative Past" (formerally Pulse 1330 - KENU AM).
