KFMA (92.1 FM) is commercial radio station located in Green Valley, Arizona, broadcasting to the Tucson, Arizona area. KFMA airs a modern rock music format.
The signal is sometimes hard to pick in all areas of the Tucson Metro Area due to distance, and the fact that KFMA has an ERP of 50,000 watts. To overcome this, it has K267AF, a translator located in Tucson that broadcasts on 101.3 FM.

[edit] History
In the early 1990s, the station was sold to Bill Yde, who eventually sold it Lotus Radio, its current owner. Between 1992 and 1993, it was KTZN, which played a Rock and Adult Contemporary mix.
In late 1993, KTZN became 92.1 and 101.3 The Echo with the call letters KEKO. As the Echo, it was an Adult Album Alternative station. In the fall of 1995 the flip to KFMA and alternative rock was made.
KFMA began streaming audio on the internet again in 2003.
[edit] Programs
The current morning show on KFMA is "The Frank Show". "The Frank Show "replaced the "John and Frank Show", which replaced the "John and John Show". Before that was Ted Stryker in the morning.
The current lunch-time show is "Revenge", which primarily plays 1990s alternative rock hits. KFMA has an evening countdown show called the "9-o-clock riot", where the top 5 requests of the day are played.
The nationally syndicated radio show Loveline is currently run in the late night spot, from 10 p.m. to Midnight (11 p.m. to 1 a.m. during daylight saving time, which Arizona does not observe). Loveline airs on KFMA nightly Sunday to Thursday.
The syndicated radio show GottGame (a show about new video games) airs twice on Saturdays. On Sundays, KFMA has the "New Music Test Department," where new songs are played on the air to determine if they should be played on the air.
