Kevin Michael O'Sullivan (b. December 27, 1968, Goshen, New York) is an American baseball coach and the current head coach of the Florida Gators baseball team. He accepted the position on June 13, 2007. [1] He replaced Pat McMahon, who had been fired less than a week earlier after two sub-par seasons.
Florida is O'Sullivan's first head coaching job. He spent the previous nine seasons as pitching coach and, later, associate head coach for the Clemson Tigers. During his tenure at Clemson, twenty-nine of the pitchers he'd coached had been selected in the MLB Draft.
O'Sullivan was a catcher during his playing days. In college he played for two years at Florida Community College at Jacksonville and another two at Virginia where he was a member of the 1991 ACC Baseball Tournament All-Tournament Team. He earned a bachelor degree in sports medicine from Virginia. He also has a master degree in Exercise Science and Wellness from Florida Atlantic University.
