The Kensington Valley Pounders are minor professional ice hockey team in the North Eastern Hockey League. The team is based in Brighton, Michigan in the greater Detroit metropolitain area, and was temporarily known as the Detroit Pounders before adopting the Kensington Valley moniker. The Pounders player home games at the Kensington Valley Ice House.
The franchise has been previously known as the, Danville Pounders and Pittsburgh Pounders. Before joining the NEHL, the Pittsburgh Pounders were members of the Continental Professional Hockey League.
