KCII is a radio station based in Washington, Iowa, 30 minutes south of Iowa City. The station is simulcasted on 1380 AM and 106.1 mHz FM. It is a full service oldies music station that broadcasts news, sports, community events, and agriculture information. KCII has an additional signal at 106.1 FM. KCII is a part of the Cedar Rapids ADI market as recorded by Arbitron.
KCII has a program of 16 hours Monday through Saturday from 5 a.m. to 11 p.m. and 15 hours on Sundays from 6 a.m. to 11 p.m.. A full programming list is at kciiradio.com.
KCII-FM is based in Washington, Iowa, 30 minutes south of Iowa City. Its signal was instituted in the 1970s after KCII 1380 was first started in 1961. The studio is located at 110 E Main Street near the Town Square in Washington.
As of 2008, station management consisted of Michael Suhr, Operations Manager; Jack Davison, General Manager; Joe Nichols, Assistant General Manager/Sales Manager; Nicolaus Sabatke, Program Director; Ben Stanton, News Director; Dagan Miller, Sports Director.
KCII Staff also includes Evening Announcer Eric Jacobson. Adam Welker and Heather Schmidt are sales representitives. Becky Helmick is the secretary. Weekend part-time staff includes Andrew Schneider, Jr., Artyom Rayev, Debbie Stanton, Heath Van Winkle, and Brad Crone. (updated May 2008)
