Katō, Hyōgo

Katō (加東市 Katō-shi?) is a city located in Hyōgo Prefecture, Japan. The city was founded on March 20, 2006 from the merger of the former towns of Yashiro, Takino, and Tōjō.
As of May 1, 2008, the city has an estimated population of 40,334 and the density of 255.97 persons per km². The total area is 157.49 km².
