I have removed a sizable chunk of material that was copied directly from this source, without attribution or indication of permission. BD2412 T 05:44, 26 December 2005 (UTC)

I have just removed the same addition of the same copyvio material - which, I might add, is written in a rather unencyclopedic and perhaps POV tone. Improvements are appreciated, but please make your additions in your own words. BD2412 T 21:15, 25 January 2006 (UTC)

Removed copyvio material from this website posted to this talk page without attribution or indication of permission. I shall explain - The law of the U.S. (and most countries) gives an author ownership of his work. Wikipedia users can not post such an author's work anywhere - not in an article, nor in a talk page - without permission (unless it is just a small snippet, like a quote, which would be a "fair use"). If we were to do so, the author would have the right to sue the person who violated his copyright by posting the material, and in the U.S. could seek statutory damages of up to $150,000, so obviously it is very important to us to keep our users from holding themselves out to be sued, and to keep Wikipedia from getting drawn into such litigation. You are welcome to summarize the work of another author in your own words, and to quote sentences from another author, so long as you indicate that it is a quote and identify the source. I have again removed copyvio material, this time from this cite, and restored the above comments that were deleted by 201.6.93.73. Continued additions of copyvio material and removal of notices with respect to the same will be treated as vandalism. BD2412 T 02:51, 15 February 2006 (UTC)
