Kärkölä

Kärkölä is a municipality of Finland. Its seat is in Järvelä.
It is located in the province of Southern Finland and is part of the Päijänne Tavastia region. The municipality has a population of 4,990 (2003) and covers an area of 259.38 km² of which 2.80 km² is water. The population density is 19.2 inhabitants per km².
The municipality is unilingually Finnish.
