http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0382036/ imdb says that Justin Hodges had a role in a movie. Can anybody verify if this is significant? And if Hodges will pursue an acting career?

it's obviously a name sake. no evidence that Hodges left Australia to do a film in the US. Michellecrisp 01:45, 15 June 2007 (UTC)

  • Lead is too short. Needs to summarise career and the evolution of his career.
  • Too much usage of "Hodges" - you need to use pronouns more, eg
“ In 1998, Hodges was offered a four year contract with the Brisbane Broncos Hodges accepted the contract as part of the Broncos development players. Hodges left school at the age of sixteen, and later on Hodges worked as a storeman for six months ”
  • Need to remove contractions.
  • For instances of opinion etc, these need to be quoted directly "Hodges didn’t think he could make first-grade rugby league, at the time"
  • Weasel words. " Bennett watched Hodges play well " It should say that "Bennett was impressed" since another person may feel that the performance was something else
  • Need to explain circumstances of debut - injury/illness/suspension to other players? Did he play five games due to one off fill-ins or did he hold his position for five games? How was this viewed at the time?
  • Need to explain why he was in the first choice team and then not given a contract - possible controversies? and explain his motivation for switching clubs
  • "Hodges made headlines for all the wrong reasons" stuff like this is not encyclopedia language
  • "His performance will be remembered not because of his good play, but because of the embarrassing panic passes he threw within his own goal area, which lead to two New South Wales tries." Needs sourcing to a pundi otherwise, personal commentary
  • If he was selected for Origin, he must have played well during 2002-03; but the article only mentions calamities, howlers and injuries. This needs to be rectified. Very little is there about actual football with the Roosters.
  • Unencyclopedic language, eg, "some critics felt that Hodges wouldn't be able to fit well into the Broncos team. But during an off season camp, Hodges and Bennett sorted things out and all Hodges wanted to do was play rugby league. Hodges stated that he didn't regret going to Sydney, but felt it was time to go home back to Brisbane"
  • Latter part of article is better
  • Substitute out the Broncos news outlet if possible. Looks more professional.

Agreed. there is not enough on his on field performance at club level. would also suggest separating rep football from club football into different sections. also is there a need for year by year headings? Michellecrisp 06:56, 23 July 2007 (UTC)
