Justin Fritz Leiber (born 1938) is an American philosopher and son of renowned science fiction writer Fritz Leiber. Leiber's mother, Jonquil Stephens Leiber, was also a writer.
Leiber is known for his work in the fields of cognitive science and linguistics. He is also on the board of directors of the Bertrand Russell Philosophical Society and a consulting editor for the Journal for the Theory of Social Behavior.
Leiber has authored works both of philosophy and science fiction. He has written Paradoxes, Beyond Gravity and Beyond Humanity, among other works.
A long-time professor at the University of Houston, Leiber recently accepted a position at Florida State University.
