[edit] Summary
Own work based on Image:Jupiterbands.JPG (uploaded by User:Erimus), whose description reads as follows:
An idealized illustration of Jupiter's belts and zones; it is based on several sources, the most important being page 107 of the 19th edition of Ridpath's Norton's Star Atlas (Longman: 1998), and a similar diagram on page 27 of Beebe's Jupiter: The Giant Planet (Smithsonian: 1997). The only significant change is the addition of Oval BA ("Red Jr.") in the STB; it is shown as red, as it was in early 2007.
