Dr. Richmond is Past Chair of the Harvard Medical School Department of Social and Preventive Medicine, now the Department of Social Medicine, and an Emeritus Professor of SM there, not merely at HU.

There was once a MUCH longer entry for Dr. Richmond, who celebrated his 90th birthday last September 26, attended by hundreds of professional colleagues, including former First Lady, Roslyn Carter, representing The Carter Center and her husband, former US President James Earl Carter.
