Great! When I enter "Mella" on Wikipedia, I get a fictional "Hitchhiker's Galaxy"-Character instead of a historical cuban person. Now there's an encyclopedia! --194.94.133.193 10:06, 19 September 2007 (UTC)

I just cut out this section. "In 1951, just prior to the Bay of Pigs Invasion this bust was frequently blown up with small amounts of C-4 and would roll down noisily downhill. [1]." because 1951 was 10 years before the Bay of Pigs invasion - hardly 'just prior." Also that link lead me nowhere. Carptrash 06:22, 22 January 2006 (UTC)

Carp Thank you that should have read 1961, that link had been cut and strayed out of place. Matters corrected now. For further details you will have to wait until my book comes out. El Jigüe 1/22/06

Re. Mella's assasination- There is a clear political bias in the account of his death; there is some evidence that he was killed by Vidale but the other side of the argument is discounted and not fully explained in the article. There is much evidence that he was in fact murdered by Machado, it was what he claimed when he was dying. In addition to this many of the footnotes used for the evidence that it was stalinists that murdered him lead to nowhere, and some of the arguments are deliberately misleading. For instance "Yet there are some even in Cuba who seem to believe that Vidale did it [40]." The link leads to a a very small Spanish (undermining the credibility of the "some even in Cuba") Trotskyist site "The Andreu Nin Foundation" that has a clear bias.
