I added her birthday, I asked her last year personally so it must be correct! (At a cd-singing session during the break of a concert).

How do you know she has a Slovakian heritage? I'm not saying it's not true, I just wonder where you got the info from. Mariah-Yulia 03:27, 13 February 2006 (UTC)

This was added by someone else, the German article does not say that, neither does her home page. If we fail to verify it we should delete this information. Caesarion 10:55, 23 January 2006 (UTC)

It is true! I e-mailed the webmaster for copyright of the photos and when I got permission for that I e-mailed a seconf time and then asked about the birthday and Slovakian heritage and this is the mail I got back:

"Dear Meindert, to be very precise: Her father is German, her mother stems from the Slovakian part of former Czechoslovakia, partly educated in Prague (which is now part of Czech Republic) and belonged to the German speaking minority in her home country.

Julia Fischer's birthday is correct.

FMF stands for Frank-Michael Fischer (he didn't say if and how he was related to her). I think the information in the mail is a bit compel to put in the article. Mariah-Yulia 16:58, 17 February 2006 (UTC)

[edit] New Photo

I made I photo of our Julia today (I was invited to do so by her) during a signing autographs sesion. It isn't a great picture (I think) but it's copyright free, besides Wikipedia isn't a beauty contest.
